Mark van Zijll de Jong is a Senior Consultant with CEG Europe based in Switzerland.

Previously based in Brussels, he is a specialist in the economics of competition law with experience in EU competition law, regulation and litigation matters. Mark has provided advice on a range of competition matters including cartels, damages, abuse of dominance, mergers and state aid investigations.

Mark has experience in several sectors including telecommunications, technology markets, energy (electricity and gas) and financial services across several jurisdictions including the UK, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. Mark has particular expertise in competition and regulatory matters for network industries. He has extensive knowledge of the telecommunications sector where he has advised on a range of regulatory issues including market reviews for fixed broadband access, spectrum pricing and licensing management.

Mark has also held positions across the public sector and academia where he has advised national and state governments on competition and other policy matters.

Mark holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics and Finance with First Class Honours and Postgraduate Diploma in Economics for Competition Law.
