Sarah is a Senior Associate at CEG Europe and is based in the Düsseldorf office. She applies her proficiency in microeconomic theory and econometric techniques to advise clients in competition, merger and litigation matters.

Since joining CEG, Sarah has supported an Austrian drug store chain in relation to questions of market definition before the Austrian courts and has advised a large German food retailer in the context of the sale of its B2C chain. She has also been assisting a large German food retailer in the context of a follow-on claim before a German court. Further, she has provided support to a major German car manufacturer in follow-on claims concerning RoRo shipping. Most recently she has been extensively involved in a damage case concerning Trucks.

Prior to joining CEG, Sarah gained experience in the field of economic consulting at another consultancy, where she assessed the impact of economic sectors on countries’ overall economies. She gained insights in the field of competition economics and market regulation at the Düsseldorf Institute for Competition Economics, where she also applied her econometric skills to estimate the consumer welfare loss due to the pass-on in a German cartel.

Sarah holds a Master’s degree from the University of Düsseldorf and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Bonn.

She is native in German, fluent in English, with some knowledge of Spanish.
