Rafael Schwarz

Associate

Rafael is an Associate at CEG Europe and is based in the Düsseldorf office. Rafael is also member of the Competition Economists Group’s Econometrics and Data Analytics team. He conducts economic and econometric analysis in the contexts of complex competition, merger and litigation matters.

Prior to joining CEG, Rafael gained experience in the field of competition economics at another consultancy where he advised on cartel damage claims in various sectors. Furthermore, he has working experience in the banking industry.

Rafael holds a master's degree in Economics from the Chemnitz University of Technology and a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business Administration with a distinction in industrial and innovation economics from the University of Hohenheim.

He is native in German and fluent in English.

Recent work

Rafael provides on-going support for several agri-businesses in their follow-on damage claims arising from the German pesticides cartel. His other recent cartel damages work includes European Government bonds and German payment cards.
