Diego is an Associate Economist at CEG, based in the Barcelona office.
Before joining CEG, Diego worked as an Economist at the Chilean Competition Authority, focusing on abuse of dominance cases and the preparation of consultation reports presented to the Chilean Competition Court. Diego has also worked for another economic consultancy in Madrid. Throughout his career, he has produced reports on a variety of industries, including banking, telecommunications, health, energy, and transportation.
Diego is completing a Master's 2 degree in Economics of Markets and Organisations and holds a Master's 1 degree in Econometrics and Statistics, both from the Toulouse School of Economics. He also holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Chile.
Diego is a native Spanish speaker, fluent in English, and has good communication skills in French.
Recent Work
Recently, Diego has advised on the assessment of damage claims on an international litigation in the telecommunications sector. Additionally, during his time at the Chilean Competition Authority, he led the economic analysys in more than 20 antitrust cases, including two demands presented to the Chilean Competition Court regarding the insurance and the health industries.
