
Vanja is an Associate at CEG Europe and is based in the Berlin Office. He conducts economic and econometric analysis in the context of complex competition, merger and litigation matters. His industry experience covers healthcare, body-care, transport, food retailing and forestry.
Prior to joining CEG, Vanja gained experience in the field of competition economics at another consultancy, where he advised on the assessment of overcharges in damage claims, on a merger case and on market definition issues in various sectors. During an earlier internship at the German FCO (Bundeskartellamt), he applied his empirical analysis skills to a food retailing merger case.
Vanja holds a Master’s degree from Mannheim with a specialization in Competition & Regulation, as well as a Bachelor's degree from the University of Mannheim.
He is native in German and Croatian and fluent in English.
Recent Work
Vanja was involved in supporting defendants in several follow-on cartel damage claims through the evaluation of potential competition damages. His skills have also been applied in a merger case where he was responsible for assessing market shares.
