Aurélien is a Senior Associate at CEG and is based in the Barcelona Office. He conducts economic and econometric analysis in the contexts of complex competition and litigation matters.

Prior to joining CEG, Aurélien gained experience in the field of competition economics at another consultancy, where he advised on cartel damage claims and arbitration cases. During an earlier internship at the OECD, he applied his policy analysis skills to questions in the field of vocational education and training.

Aurélien holds a Master’s degree from the KU Leuven and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Mannheim.

He is native in German and French as well as fluent in English and Spanish.

Recent work

Aurélien was previously involved in supporting defendants in several follow-on cartel damage claims, in the estimation of potential competition damages, abuse of dominance cases, as well as an international arbitration case. He has gained experience in various industries, including energy, agriculture, pharmaceutical products, metallurgy and chemicals.

Aurélien provides on-going support for a number of proposed opt-in and opt-out interchange fee collective class actions before the UK Competition Appeals Tribunal. He is also involved in assisting a construction firm defending against damages claims.
