CEG opens Zurich office

May 25, 2021

With its Zurich office, Competition Economists Group (“CEG”) has launched its sixth European Office, headed by Senior Adviser Dr Roberto Balmer following his recent hire.

The Zurich office will be an important element in CEG’s global development as Switzerland has proven to be a key player in global regulatory competition with the recent adoption of a versatile blockchain regulation, the large amount of international arbitration disputes as well as the presence of a large number of headquarters of large corporations and international organizations.

Dr Balmer will also lead CEG Europe’s regulatory practice with a focus on market liberalisation, privatisations, price regulation, regulatory impact assessments, benchmarking and auction design. He says: “I am excited to join this new ambitious venture!”
